The small, but perfectly formed, festival is a one day extravaganza for kids and adults alike. There is a rather strange scene with kids playing on a huge pile of sand while drunken revellers party to ear-shattering dance music just yards away in the fantastically named Eskimo Mojito tent.
Anticipation was building as the entire population of Hyde Park gathered in front of the main stage once more. As the curtain fell, Pulp took to the stage before kicking off with ‘Do You Remember The First Time?’ and fans young and old bounced around the field.
Thirty-three years ago, Prince released his first album, For You. Since then, the pop troubadour has unbelievably never been part of a UK festival.
