The boys in Black Market Empire have been going strong for a few years now, defining their sound and winning over crowds in Birmingham’s finest underground venues. The recent release of their new double A-side single, ‘Vultures/Scared Of You And I’ however, is them turning over a new leaf and winning over those music fans beyond Brum’s confines.
Black Market Empire have a timeless sound that is often related to the words Brit and Pop. Their sound will make fans of Miles Kane and Oasis prick their ears up. They are also a top tip for any music fans currently digging new-comers Flaming Fields and The Jacarandas.
They are a band with clear ideals, a strong image and plenty of tunes to tap every one of your ten toes to.
For an idea of their sound, listen to this snippet of ‘Vultures’, up on Soundcloud now.

Summary: Putting the B back in Britpop.
For fans of: Flaming Fields, Oasis, Blur.

About Jack Parker

I am a new music fan more than anything else: the latest thing is the greatest thing for me. But I still have time for the golden oldies of music. My favourite band of all time has to be Weird Dreams.
