The Cure, Kasabian and Foo Fighters have this evening been announced as the headliners for this year’s Reading & Leeds Festival.
The Cure are set to open Reading on Friday and play Leeds on Saturday; Kasabian will play Reading on Saturday and close Leeds on Sunday and Foo Fighters will close Reading on Sunday and play Leeds on Friday.
Paramore, Florence and the Machine and The Black Keys will be subbing the three headliners respectively.
Other bands announced today include Kaiser Chiefs, At The Drive-In, Two Door Cinema Club, The Maccabees, Justice, The Cribs, Bombay Bicycle Club, Metronomy, The Vaccines, Mystery Jets, Enter Shikari and more.

The dual event, which will take place on the Bank Holiday Weekend of August 24-26, has just gone on sale (7.15pm) with weekend tickets priced at £197.50 plus fees.
Last year’s headliners were My Chemical Romance, The Strokes, Pulp and Muse, with other acts playing including Elbow, Madness, Beady Eye, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Interpol and The Streets.
Reading Festival takes place at Little John’s Farm, while Leeds Festival is housed on Bramham Park.
