On Saturday March 31, a brand new Digbeth venue is set to open – occupying the old Space 2 / Custard Factory address.
Gibb Street Warehouse is a new, bespoke clubbing space located in Digbeth, the heartbeat of Birmingham’s electronic music pulse. It has been conceived by some of the industry’s most respected names who, collectively, have delivered numerous high profile events across the globe include clubnights, sell out festivals and some of the nation’s most loved and revered clubbing spaces.
This is not just a warehouse makeover; although the venue will evoke the raw industrial feel of early Acid House parties, that experience will be supplemented by state of the art technology and a highly professional operations team. Gibb Street Warehouse will bring to Birmingham the very best of electronic music, across all genres, in a purpose-built, unique environment. Twentieth century vibes and values, Twenty first century experience and environment.
The doors swing open for the first time on Saturday March 31 as House heavyweights Defected roll into Birmingham with Junior Jack and Kid Crème. One of the most successful and influential record labels in the entire history of dance music, they are fully ready to bring their soulful sound to Birmingham ahead of what will be another killer season for them in Ibiza.
Hot on the heels of the launch the mighty Renaissance drops by on Easter Sunday to celebrate 20 years of global clubbing. Who else at the helm but the clubs original and most famous resident Sasha, alongside an all-star forward-thinking line-up which thrusts the club into their third decade of activity. A Renaissance Classics room celebrates the past two, as well as satisfying the nostalgic amongst you.
