Fresh off the back of supporting the massive Ed Sheeran on a sold-out UK tour (including two nights at Wolverhampton Civic Hall), ABANDOMAN will be playing live in Birmingham next month.
Winners of both Hackney Empire New Act of the Year 2010 and The Musical Comedy Awards 2010, Abandoman create hilarious musical sketches at lightning speed live in front of their audience. No two gigs are ever the same. Abandoman recently appeared on BBC3′s Live at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, BBC2′s The Stephen K Amos Show, on Sky Arts as part of their Latitude coverage and many radio shows, including BBC Radio 1′s Fun and Filthy cabaret, alongside Dappy from N Dubz. Alongside this – Abandoman have just finished a sold-out UK tour with none other than Ed Sheeran. The group have improvised songs with John Bishop, Brendan Burns, Rich Fulcher, Catherine Tate and many others.
Set to take place at the old Bar Academy on Dale End (now The End – part of the Birmingham Ballroom, Rob Broderick and co. will bring their “improv. Irish hip hop” to the UK’s second city for an exclusive show.
